PanGenomic Health’s subsidiary MUJN Diagnostics has launched a POC vitamin D test for dental implant patients.
The biomarker panel aims to help prevent dental implant failure, which may be caused by the negative effects of low vitamin D levels on osseointegration. In the U.S., more than 500,000 dental implants are placed each year. About 25% of people in the U.S. have insufficient intakes of vitamin D.
