Vatech has expanded its line of dental x-ray equipment with the new PaX-i digital x-ray system, which offers panoramic and cephalometric imaging.
The PaX-i panoramic and cephalometric capabilities are intended for both orthodontists and general dentists, according to the company. The cephalometric unit provides two types of imaging configurations: one-shot and scan. The company said its one-shot unit features a flat-panel x-ray detector sensor that helps render high-quality images.
The system also has an x-ray exposure time of 0.9 seconds, which reduces radiation dose and eliminates motion artifact from patients' movements, Vatech said.
