Stratasys has launched its new Objet260 Dental 3D printer for laboratories and a new biocompatible material at the LMT Lab Day in Chicago.
Objet260 Dental can 3D print three different materials on a single tray and build surgical guides, models, and appliances. The printer is upgradable and a good fit financially for midsized labs that want to expand offerings but not affect versatility, Stratasys said.
The company has also introduced a new flexible biocompatible material, MEDFLX625. The product allows dental and orthodontic laboratories with PolyJet multimaterial 3D printers to mix flexible and rigid biocompatible materials for short-term patient contact direct print applications, including indirect bonding trays. The material can also be used to 3D print surgical guides and soft-tissue implant models during the same print run.
