Midmark's new ClearVision digital dental sensor system by Progeny is now available.
The new sensor system features rounded corners, contoured surfaces, and a flexible cable that allows the sensor to be positioned as needed for accurate image acquisition without distressing the patient, according to the company.
ClearVision uses USB 2.0 technology for a simple connection to a PC and comes with a quick-calibration flash drive to prepare the sensor for installation. It also features a Kevlar reinforced cable and hermetically sealed, waterproof design.
Additionally, ClearVision uses complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor (CMOS) technology to optimize resolution while reducing noise, according to Midmark.
